Hi, I’m Brian Thompson
I am a licensed and Ordained Minister but I pride myself on being
a storyteller, ceremony designer, and lover of love in its purest, realest form.

For over fourteen years, I’ve had the honor of standing with couples as they speak the words that change everything. That powerful moment two lives, two histories, and two futures become one shared story. What began as a spontaneous “yes” to officiate my cousin’s wedding turned into a calling that shaped the entire course of my life. Since then, I’ve officiated hundreds of ceremonies across Virginia, the U.S., and beyond — from hilltops and barns to grand estates, candlelit living rooms, and oceanside sunsets in Greece, Hawaii and Puerto Rico.

I believe a ceremony should feel deeply personal.
Not read from a template, but built from the heart.

Beyond the Microphone

I’m a creator at heart, a builder of spaces, stories, and moments. I live on a farm and I’m currently designing my own future wedding venue right here at home, The Altar at Cedar Lane, a dream shaped by the belief that love deserves beauty, reverence, and room to breathe. I also love to write music, travel, and find meaning in the small miracles of everyday life.

I am here for the quiet depth of a vow, the laughter that breaks tension, the parents wiping tears in the front row. I am here for legacy, memory, meaning. That magical moment of saying I choose you, now and forever.
